Endoscopy is a technique that involves inserting a tube attached to a camera (endoscope) to view the inside of an organ or cavity. This instrument is inserted through a small incision or through natural openings such as the vagina or anus. Until recently, such procedures were used for diagnostic purposes only. However, nowadays, endoscopic methods also allow a correct treatment of pathologies in a less aggressive way. Gynecological endoscopy does not require hospitalization, allowing the patient to return home the same day of the intervention.
